We are having tremendous amounts of fun with our Stripers, especially since they are so easy to make and Amigurumi lovers of all ages are enjoying them, which is just wonderful! Rascal is our new addition (I think that is a fitting name for a cat, trust me, I have one of those!) This little fellow is ready to play. Enjoy!

Size- 15" L x 8 1/2" W
Skill- Advanced beginner onward

Materials-
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Orange (4 oz)
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Spring Green (4 oz)
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Bright Yellow (4 oz)
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Turqua (4 oz)
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Aran (4 oz)
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Cherry Red or Shocking Pink (For Tongue) (2 oz)
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Black (4 oz)
Red Heart worsted weight yarn White (1 yard)
Crochet hook sizes H and F
Fiberill
Blunt needle
Scissors
Pins


Body (Make 2)-
With crochet hook size H and Orange, ch 31.
Row 1- 1 sc in third ch from hook and in each ch till end of row. (30 sc, counting ch bump of first st.) Ch 1, turn.
Row 2- 1 sc in each sc across and in top of ch bump of first st. (30 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Rows 3 to 4- 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Rows 5 to 9- 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 10- 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Row 11- Join Spring Green, work 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Rows 12 to 19- 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 20- 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Row 21- Join Bright Yellow, make 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Rows 22 to 24- 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 25- 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Row 26- Join Turqua, work 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Rows 22 to 29- 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 30- 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc)  Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Sew Front and Back together at the sides and the Bottom. Fasten off, and weave in tails inside of Body.
Stuff Body well.
Tail-
With Spring Green and H hook, ch 51.
Row 1- 1 hdc in third ch from hook, 2 more hdc in same spot as first hdc, 3 hdc in next ch and in each ch across.
Center at Back and pin down. Sew in place, making sure it is well attached, since kids sometimes like to pull tails. Fasten off and weave in ends inside of Body.
Arms (Make 2)-
With Bright Yellow and H hook, ch 2.
Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in second ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. (6 sc)
Rnd 2- 2 sc in second ch from hook, rep around. (12 sc)
Rnd 3- 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (18 sc)
Rnd 4- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (24 sc)
Rnds 5 to 7- 1 sc in each sc around. (24 sc)
Rnd 8- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, sc2tog over the next 2 sc, rep around. (18 sc)
Rnd 9- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, rep around. (14 sc)
Stuff as you go!
Rnd 10- 1 sc in each sc around. (14 sc)
Rnds 11 to 23- 1 sc in each sc around. (14 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.

Finish stuffing and using blunt needle and tails, sew to side of Body as seen in photos. Fasten off and weave ends inside of Body.


Tail- 
With Spring Green and H hook, ch 38.
Row 1- 4 dc in fourth chain from hook, 5 dc in next ch, 5 dc in next ch and in each ch across. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.



Thread blunt needle and weave in beginning short tail. Thread blunt needle with leftover tail, and after measuring the Back of Whiskers, center the tail and pin it down. Sew in place. Fasten off and secure inside Body. (Sew firmly, you know kids like to pull tails!)



Feet and Legs (Make 2)-
With Orange and H hook, ch 2.
Repeat all rnds as for Arms. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.

Stuff Body and sew Legs and Arms on. Fasten off, weave in tails.
Head-
Front-
Row 1- Skip first 5 sc of top of Body for Shoulder, join Aran to next sc, work 1 sc in that sc and in each of next 19 sc. Ch 1, turn, leaving the rest of the sc unworked for opposite Shoulder (20 sc)
Row 2- 1 sc in each sc across. (20 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Rows 3 to 14- 1 sc in each sc across. (20 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 15- 1 sc in each sc across. (20 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Back-
Repeat as for Front. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Muzzle (make 2)-
With Bright Yellow and H hook, ch 2.
Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in second ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. (6 sc)
Rnd 2- 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)
Rnd 3- 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (18 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Tongue-
With Shocking Pink or Cherry Red, ch 4.
Rnd 1- 1 sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (3 sc) Now, working in foundation chain loops, make 3 sc in first loop, 1 sc in each loop till end of rnd, sl st to first sc of rnd, bypassing ch 1. (8 sc)
Rnd 2- Ch 1, 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, [1 sc in each next 2sc,] rep 5 times, 1 sc in each sc till end of rnd. Sl st to join rnd. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Center Tongue in Front or Face, 2 rows above the Bottom of Face. Pin in place and using the tail you left, sew in place. Fasten off, weave in ends on back of work. Place Muzzle on both sides of Tongue, overlapping it as seen in photos. Pin in place and sew. Fasten off, weave in ends on back of work.


Nose-
With Black and H hook, ch 2.
Row 1- 1 sc in second ch from hook. Ch 2, turn. (1 sc)
Row 2- 1 sc in second ch from hook and in next sc, 1 sc in top of turning ch. (3 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 3- 1 sc in second ch from hook and in next sc, 1 sc in each sc across and in top of turning ch. (5 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Pin Nose on top of Muzzle in between the two circles as seen in photos. Sew in place. Fasten off, weave in ends at back of work.
Eyes (Make 2)-
With Spring Green and H hook, ch 2.
Row 1- Work 6 sc in second ch from hook, DO NOT SL ST INTO RND. (6 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 2- 1 sc in each sc across. (6 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Pupils-
Thread blunt needle with Black and stitch a couple of vertical, straight stitches in center of Eyes. Fasten off, weave in ends behind work.
Eyebrows- With Black, embroider brows across second row above Eyes as seen in photos. Fasten off., weave in tails on back of Work.
Light- With a strand of White thread blunt needle and make 3 straight stitches on each Eye as seen in photos. Fasten off, weave in ends in back of work.
Optional- Take a strand of Black and embroider all around Eyes, to give them more expression.
Close sides of Head. Stuff firmly. Sew Top closed. Fasten off, weave in tails.
Ears (Make 2)-
With Turqua and H hook ch 2. 
Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in second ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. (6 sc)
Rnds 2 to 3- 1 sc in each sc around. (6 sc) 
Rnd 4- 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)

Rnd 5- 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (18 sc)
Rnd 6- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (24 sc)
Rnds 7-8- 1 sc in each sc around. (24 sc)
Rnd 9- 1 sc in first sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, rep around. (18 sc)
Rnd 10- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, rep around. (12 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.

Stick Ears into corners of Head as seen in photos (do NOT stuff!) and sew them in place. Fasten off, weave in tails. 

Optional- With Black, thread a blunt needle and embroider whiskers at both sides of Rascal's face. Fasten off, weave in ends.
