Sew each Pupil to White of Eye, fasten off and weave in tail. Sew Eyes to both sides to Top of Head. Fasten off, weave in tail on the wrong side of Head.
With Read and blunt needle, embroider Mouth on Rnd 8 of Top of Head, going from Eye to Eye, as seen in photos. Fasten off and weave in tail on wrong side of Head. Thread blunt needle with tail you left over to sew the Head. Insert cat ball at the bottom of Head, stuff all around and on top of it, place the top of the Head on top of the Bottom like a "cap," hold down with one hand while you sew all around with the other. Insert more stuffing through the sides if needed, as you continue to sew. Fasten off, weave in tail.

What you have now is a very floppy rattle. Some like it like that. It is wobbly and funny for a little child.
If your happy with it, leave it like that. I wanted it a bit sturdier, so I'll suggest two other steps you can make to make it a bit more rigid. I want it to bobble a little in a funny and crazy way that will make a baby giggle but not flop around every which way, so let's give it a supporting Ring.
Bottom Ring-
With Tea Leaf and h hook, ch 9, sl st to join ring.
Rnd 1- Work 15 hdc in ring, sl st to join rnd. (15 hdc)
Rnd 2- 1 sc in each hdc around. (15 sc)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew with.
Insert Ring in Handle, sew top of ring to Bottom of Head, and make some small stitches at the bottom of Ring around the Handle stick, this will reduce the floppiness.
Fasten off, weave in tail.
Done!

Pathlights. . .Worthwhile exploring!

  2. Thank you, Sara! Well, I could wish you great success on that one, lol, but since I don't know if you and your husband want another precious wee one, you could keep the pattern for a friend who might be expecting. Enjoy!

  4. Than you so much! I really think Bungee could be paired well with a baby afghan or a couple of fun bibs and given to an expecting friend in a baby shower and be well liked. He's so much fun!
