Body (make 2)- With Hot Red ch 31. Row 1- 1 sc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across (30 sc). Ch 1, turn.
Row 2- 1 sc in each sc across. Rows 3 to 5- Rep row 2. Fasten off Hot Red. Row 6- Join Gold. Make 1 sc in each sc across. Ch 1,
turn. Rows 7 to 10- rep row 6. Fasten off Gold, eaving long tail to sew with. Row 11- Join Carrot, 1 sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn. Rows 12 to 15- 1 sc in each
sc across. Fasten off Carrow, leaving long tail to sew with. Row 16- Join Bright Yellow. Make 1 sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn. Rows 17 to 20- 1 sc in each sc across.
Fasten off Bright Yellow, leaving long tail to sew with. Row 21- Join Pumpkin, work 1 sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn. Rows 22 to 25- 1 sc in each sc across. Fasten off
Pumpkin, leaving long tail to sew with. Row 26- Join Hot Red. Work 1 sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn. Wos 27 to 30- 1 sc in each sc across. Fasten off Hot Red, leaving long tail to sew with.
Muzzle (Make 2)- Ch 2. Rnd 1- Make 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. Rnd 2- 2 sc in each sc around. Rnd 3- 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. Rnd 4- 1 sc in each of
first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Place both front sides of body facing, sew sides and bottom using leftover tails, leave top open for stuffing. Fasten off. Set aside and work on legs.
Legs (Make 2)- With Hot Red, Ch 2. Rnd 1- Make 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. Rnd 2- 2 sc in each sc around. Rnd 3- 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. Rnd 4- 1 sc in each of
first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc. Fasten off Hot Red. Rnd 5- Join Gold, make 1 sc in each sc around. Rnd 6- 1 sc in each sc around. Rnd 7- Work 1 sc in each sc around. Fasten off Gold.
Rnd 8- Join Carrot, make 1 sc in each sc around. Rnd 9- 1 sc in each sc around. Fasten off Carrot. Rnd 10- Join Bright Yellow, make 1 sc in each sc around. Rnd 11- Make 1 sc in each sc around. Fasten off Carrot.
Rnd 12- Join Hot Red, work 1 sc in each sc around. Rnd 13- Make 1 sc in each sc around. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with. Stuff legs, sew to body as seen in photos. Fasten off.
Arms (Make 2)- With Hot Red, Ch 2. Rnd 1- Make 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. Rnd 2- 2 sc in each sc around. Rnd 3- 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. Fasten off Hot Red.
Rnd 4- Join Pumpkin, make 1 sc in each sc around. Rnds 5 to 6- 1 sc in each sc around. Fasten off Pumpkin. Rnd 7- Join Bright Yellow, make 1 sc in each sc around. Rnds 8 to 9- 1 sc in each sc around. Fastn off Bright Yellow.
Rnd 10- Join Carrot, make 1 sc in each sc around. Rnd 11- 1 sc in each sc around, fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with. Stuff arms, sew to body as seen in photos, fasten off.
Nose- With Black, ch 5. Row 1- Make 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in each ch from hook.Ch 1, turn. Rows 2 to 3- 1 sc in each sc across. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Center muzzle pieces in front side of body as seen in photos, Fasten off. Sew in place. Sew nose on top and center, embroider mouth. Fasten off.
Eyes- Whites of Eyes (Make 2)- With White, ch 2. Rnd 1- Make 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. Ch 1, turn. Row 2- 1 sc in spot of ch 1, 2 sc in each of next 3 sc, sl st in next sc. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Pupils and Irises (Make 2)- With Black, ch 2. Rnd 1- Make 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook sl st to join rnd. Fasten off Black, leaving long tail to sew with. Row 2- Join Paddy Green. Work 2 sc in each of first 4 sc, sl st in next sc. Fasten off,
leaving long tail to sew with.
Place eyes on Sparky's face as follows: Pin whites of eyes in place, with the 2nd row facing downward. Sew. Fasten off. Place the pupils and irises in place on top, with the green irises facing upward. Pin in place,sew. Fasten off.
Eyebrows- With Black and blunt needle, embroider brows, starting from the middle of the pupils outward and downward in a small arch as shown in photos. Fasten off.
Tail- With Hot Red, ch 2. Rnd 1- 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. Rnd 2- 2 sc in each sc around. Fasten off, Hot Red. Rnd 3- Join Pumpkin, 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around.
Rnds 4 to 11- 1 sc in each sc around. Fasten off, leaving long tail to se with. Stuff tail lightly. Center tail at back and pin into place. Sew. Fasten off.
Stuff Sparky's body, sew top. Fasten off. Make ears.
Ears-
Left Ear- With Pumpkin, ch 2. Rnd 1- Make 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. Rnd 2- Work 2 sc in each sc around. Rnd 3- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around.
Rnd 4- 1 sc in each of first 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. Rnds 5 to 7- 1 sc in each sc around.Fasten off Pumpkin. Rnd 8- Join Hot Red. Work 1 sc in each of first 4 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, 1 sc in each of next 4 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, rep around.
Rnd 9- 1 sc in each of first 3 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, rep around.
Rnd 10- 1 sc in each sc around. Rnd 11- 1 sc in each of first 4 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, 1 sc in each of next 4 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, rep around. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Right Ear- With Carrot, ch 2. rep all rnds as for Left Ear. Fasten off. Join Hot Red, rep all of last rnds as for Left Ear. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Place each ear on corresponding side of head, sew and fasten off. Hide tail.
