Head-
With Aran and H hook, ch 31.
Rnd 1- Work 1 sc in second ch from hook and in each sc across. Working across opposite side, make 1 sc in each of the foundation loops, sl st to join rnd. (60 sc)
Rnd 2- 1 sc in each sc around. (60 sc)
Rnds 3 to 25- Work 1 sc in each sc around. (60 sc) Fasten off, weave in tail.

Body-
Join Shocking Pink.
Rnd 1- Working with H hook make 1 sc in each stitch around. (60 sc)
Rnds 2 to 25- 1 sc in each stitch around. (60 sc) Fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew with.

Arms (Make 2)-
With Aran and H hook, ch 2.
Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in second ch from hook (or in magic ring if you choose to use it), sl st to join rnd. (6 sc)
Rnd 2- 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)
Rnd 3- 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (18 sc)

Muzzle- 
With Petal Pink and G hook.

Row 2- (Do NOT work too loosely) Make 2 sc in each st.(8 sc)
Row 3- Work 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat across. (12 sc)
Rnd 4- Make 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep across. (16 sc)

Row 2- 1 sc in each sc across. (5 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 3- 1 sc in each sc across. (5 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 4- 1 sc in each sc across. (5 sc) Fasten off, leaving long enough tail to sew with, embroider mouth with as seen in photos, and weave in tail.

Eyes (Make 2)-
Rnd 1- With Black and F hook, ch 2 and make 6 sc in second ch from hook, sl stitch to join rnd.
(or use a magic ring if you prefer to do so and work 6 sc into ring sl stitch to join rnd.) Fasten off, weave in tail.
Join Delft Blue.
Rnd 2- Work 2 sc in each sc around. Fasten off, weave in ends behind.
Join White.
Rnd 3- Work 1 sc in each stitch around. Fasten off, leaving a tail sufficiently long to sew Eyes well and still weave in tail with leftover yarn.
With White, embroider a dot of light on each Eye and fasten off and weave in tail at Back of Eye.


Ears (Make 2)-
With Aran and H hook, ch 2 or make a magic ring.
Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in second ch from hook (or in magic ring if you choose to use it), sl st to join rnd. (6 sc)
Rnd 2- 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)
Rnd 3- 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (18 sc)
Rnd 4- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (24 sc)
Rnd 5- 1 sc in each sc around. (24 sc)
Rnds 6 to 8- 1 sc in each sc around. (24 sc)
Rnd 9- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc,sc in each of next 2 sc, 1 sc over next 2 sc, rep all around. (18 sc)
Rnd 10- 1 sc in each sc around. (18 sc)

Sew Nose to Muzzle and embroider Mouth as seen in photos. Fasten off on Back of piece and weave in tail.
Center Muzzle to Front Top of toy (Head) and pin in place. Sew using leftover tail. Weave in end of tail.
Sew Nose to Muzzle and weave in ends at Back of Muzzle. Embroider Mouth with Black as seen in photos. Fasten off and weave in tail. Center the Muzzle at Bottom Edge of Face and Pin in place. Sew. Fasten off. weave in tail.
Pin Eyes in place as seen in photos. Sew in place. Fasten off, weave in ends.
Insert Ears into the corner of Head and pin in place. Sew in place using leftover tails. Fasten off, weave in ends.
With Black, stitch Eyebrows as seen in photos. Fasten off, weave in tails.
Thread yarn needle with Bright Yellow and make 7 straight stitches from top of Head down (6 rows down), fasten off, weave in tails inside of Head.
Stuff Arms and sew from the beginning of Clothes down. Fasten off, weave in tails.
Color Cheeks and inner ears.
Stuff bear firmly and close Bottom using leftover tail.
Stuff Legs and sew to Bottom. Fasten off, weave in tails.

We have been having fun with our Smoochies series. This is our last toy of this series. Lychee is a smaller toy, appropriate for babies and tots. Little arms can easily hug her places. If you want a Lychee for a boy, all you have to do is substitute the pink for blue and not add the bow at the top of his head. Have fun!

Eyes (Make 2)-

With Black and h hook, ch 2.

Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in second ch from hook (or in magic ring if you choose to use it), sl st to join rnd. (6 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.

Sew the eyes to the Eye Patches and stitch the Eyelashes as shown on photos. Fastenoff, weave in tail behind each Eye Patch.

Muzzle-

With Aran and H hook, ch 8.

Rnd 1- 1 sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. Working on Opposite side across bottom loops, make 1 sc in each loop, sl stto join rnd. (14 sc)

Rnd 2- 2 sc in each st around. (28 sc)

Rnds 3 to 5- 1 sc in each  sc. (35 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.

Thread blunt needle with Black and stitch the nostrils as seen on photos. Fasten off, weave in tail.

Tail-

With Bright Yellow and H hook, ch 59.

Row 1- 1 hdc in third ch from hook, 2 more hdc in same spot as first hdc, 4 hdc in next ch and in each ch across. 

Center at Back and pin down. Sew in place, making sure it is well attached, since kids sometimes like to pull tails

Bow-

With Perfect Pink and H hoo, ch 10.

Rnd 1- 1 sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. Working on opposite side across foundation loops, make 2 sc in first loop, 1 sc in each loop till last loop, 2 sc in last loop, sl st to join rnd.

Rnd 2- 1 sc in each sc around.  Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with. Wrap yarn around center to form bow. Sew to top of Head, fasten off and weave in tail.

Trixie the Funmigurumi Smoochies Bear

We continue with the cuties in the Smoochies clan, this one is a baby who cannot wait to be cuddled and loved by someone you love. Have fun making her and giving her to make a bear lover happy!

Button (The Button at the top of the Hat is optional but makes the Hat prettier)-

Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in second ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. (6 sc)

Rnd 2- 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)

Rnd 3- 1 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)

Rnd 4- Sc2tog over first sts, rep around. (6 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.

Thread blunt needle with tail and sew button to Top of Hat. Fasten off and weave in tails inside of Hat.

With Light Raspberry and H hook, ch 2.

With Black and H hook, ch 5.

Row 1- 1 sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn. (4 sc)

Row 3- 1 sc in each sc across. (4 sc) Fasten off, leaving a tail long enough to sew Nose onto Muzzle and to embroider Mouth with and weave in the end.

Mouth-

With tail left from sewing Nose, use blunt needle to stitch Mouth by simply making small, continuous straight stitches downwards across 5 rounds. Fasten off and weave in tail inside of Muzzle. 

Stuff Muzzle, center and pin to "Face."

Eyes (Make 2)-

With Black and H hook, ch 2.

Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in second ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. (6 sc)

Row 2- Make 2 sc in each of first 3 sc, sl st to end of rnd. (9 sts) Fasten off. leaving long enough to sew each with it, plus 3 straight stitches for Eyelashes, and to fasten off and weave in the last tail.

Pin Eyes to Sides of Muzzle and see everything in place, stitching also the Eyelashes.

Body-

Clothes-

Rnd 26- Join Spring Green, 1 sc in each sc around. (72 sc)

Rnd 1- With H and Pretty 'N Pink work ch 3 plus 4 dc in first loop of rnd, skip 2 loops, *make 1 sc in next loop, skip 2 loops, work 5 dc in next loop, skip 2 loops, rep from * around. When you reach the last 4 loops, skip only 1 loop to make last shell, then skip only 1 loop to make the last sc of rnd, slip stitch to join rnd to top to first shell, fasten off and weave in tail.

Rnd 2- (Work in BACK LOOPS THIS RND ONLY) 1 sc in eac sc around. (24 sc)

Rnd 3- 1 sc in each sc around. (24 sc)

Rnds 4 to 11- 1 sc in each sc around. (24 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with. 

Decorative Edge for Pants (Work the same way for both Legs)-

Join Pretty 'N Pink to Rnd 2 of pants and proceed as for Arms until you have only 5 loops left on the round, then work as follows: Skip 1 loop, work 1 sc in next loop, skip 1 loop, make 1 shell in next loop, work 1 sc in last loop, slip stitch in top of beginning chain to end round. Fasten off, weave in tails. 

Finish stuffing the Body of the toy. Stuff Arms and Legs and sew them in place. Fasten off and weave in ends. Apply blush (optional).

Head-

With H hook and Pumpkin ch 21.

Rnd 1- 1 in second ch from hook and in each sc across (20 sc), now, working on the opposite side across foundation loops, make 1 sc in each loop, sl st to join rnd. (40 sc)

Rnd 2-1 sc in each sc around. (40 sc)

Rnds 3 to 30- 1 sc in each sc around. (40 sc) Fasten off, weave in ends.

Stuff Head firmly.

Body-

Rnd 1- Join Delft Blue and with H hook, work 1 in each sc around. (40 sc)

Rnd 4- 1 sc in each of first 2 sts, 2 sc in next st, rep around. (24 sts)

Rnd 5- 1 sc in each of first 3 sts, 2 sc in next st, rep around. (30 sts)

Rnd 6- 1 sc in each of first 4 sts, 2 sc in next st, rep around. (36 sts)

Rnds 7 to 8- 1 sc in each st around. (36 sts) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.

Nose-

With Black and H hook, ch 5.

Row 1- 1 sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (4 sc) Ch 1, turn.

Row 2- 1 sc in each sc across. (4 sc) Ch 1, turn.

Row 3- 1 sc in each sc across. (4 sc) Fasten off, leaving long enough tail to sew and to stitch Mouth with and weave in tail.

Center Nose on Muzzle and pin down. Thread yarn needle with the Black tail and stitch Nose in place. Embroider Mouth as a straight line down and then across 4 stitches.

Fasten off and weave in tail inside of Muzzle.

Eyes (Make 2)-

Pupils-

With Black and H hook, ch 2.

Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in second ch from hook, slip st to join rnd. (6 sc)

Rnd 2- 2 sc in each around. (12 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.

Whites of Eyes (Make 2)-

With White and H hook, ch 2.

Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in second ch from hook, slip st to join rnd. (6 sc)

Rnd 2- 2 sc in each around. (12 sc) DO NOT TURN.

Row 3 (Semi round)- Ch 1, 1 sc in each of first 4 sc, slip st in next st. (4 sts) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with. (It must form an oval).

Light of Eyes-

Stitch a dot of White in each Eye, once or twice. Fasten off.

Pin Eyes to Face on both sides of the Muzzle and sew in place, fasten off and weave in tails.

Ears (Make 2)-

With Pumpkin and H hook, ch2.

Stuff Body firmly and sew Bottom of it. Fasten off and weave in tail.

Arms (Make 2)-

With Pumpkin and H hook, ch 2.

Join Delft Blue.

Join Bright Yellow.
