It is always a lot of fun when a new Funmigurumi takes off across the Net and runs on its own legs! Snorty has been very popular and I want to thank you for making him so. Now here is his sweetheart, hope you like her!

Skill- Moderately easy
Size- 17 1/2" L x 8 1/4" W

Materials-
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Flame (1 skein)
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Tea Leaf  (4 oz)
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Bright Yellow (4 oz)
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Spring Green (4 oz)
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Pale Yellow (4 oz)
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Aran (4 oz)
Red Heart worsted weight yarn Black (3 oz)
Red Heart worsted weight yarn White (3 oz)
Crochet hook size H
Blunt needle
Scissors
Note: If you make the couple, add to your list of Materials 1 skein Shocking Pink and make the Sniffy in Pink and Snorty in Flame.


Body (Make 2)-
With crochet hook size H and Flame, ch 31.
Row 1- 1 sc in third ch from hook and in each ch till end of row. (30 sc, counting ch bump of first st.) Ch 1, turn.
Row 2- 1 sc in each sc across and in top of ch bump of first st. (30 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Rows 3 to 4- 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Rows 5 to 9- 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 10- 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Row 11- Join Tea Leaf, work 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Rows 12 to 15- 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc)  Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Row 16- Join Bright Yellow and work 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Rows 17 to 19- 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 20- 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Row 21- Join Spring Green, work 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Rows 22 to 24- 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 25- 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc)  Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Rows 26 to 29- 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 30- 1 sc in each sc across. (30 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Sew Front and Back together at the sides and the Bottom. Fasten off, and weave in tails inside of Body.
Stuff Body well.

Arms (Make 2)-
With Tea Leaf and H hook, ch 2.
Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in second ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. (6 sc)
Rnd 2- 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)
Rnd 3- 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (18 sc)
Rnd 4- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (24 sc)
Rnd 5- 1 sc in each sc around. (24 sc)
Rnds 5 to 7- 1 sc in each sc around. (24 sc)
Rnd 8- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, sc2tog over the next 2 sc, rep around. (18 sc)
Rnd 9- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, rep around. (14 sc) Fasten off, weave in tails.
Stuff as you go!
Rnd 10- Join Bright Yellow, make 1 sc in each sc around. (14 sc)
Rnds 11 to 17- 1 sc in each sc around. (14 sc) Fasten off, weave in tail.
Rnd 18- Join Spring Green and work 1 sc in each sc around. (14 sc)
Rnds 19 to 31- 1 sc in each sc around. (14 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Finish stuffing and sew to Sides of Body, fasten off, weave in tails inside of Body.


Legs (Make 2)-
With Spring Green and H hook, ch 2.
Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in second ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. (6 sc)
Rnd 2- 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)
Rnd 3- 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (18 sc)
Rnd 4- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (24 sc)
Rnd 5- 1 sc in each sc around. (24 sc)
Rnds 5 to 7- 1 sc in each sc around. (24 sc)
Rnd 8- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, sc2tog over the next 2 sc, rep around. (18 sc)
Rnd 9- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, rep around. (14 sc) Fasten off, weave in tails.
Stuff as you go!
Rnd 10- Join Bright Yellow, make 1 sc in each sc around. (14 sc)
Rnds 11 to 15- 1 sc in each sc around. (14 sc) Fasten off, weave in tail.
Rnd 16- Join Flame and work 1 sc in each sc around. (14 sc)
Rnds 17 to 31- 1 sc in each sc around. (14 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Finish stuffing and, skipping the first 5 sc, sew first Leg to Bottom of Body, fasten off, weave in tail inside of Body. Skip 7 sc and sew the second Leg to Bottom of Body, skipping the last 5 sc of Bottom of Body, fasten off, weave in tail inside of Body.

Tail-
With Flame and H hook, ch 2.
Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in second ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. (6 sc)
Rnds 2 to 3- 1 sc in each sc around. (6 sc)
Rnd 4- 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)
Rnds 5 to 7- 1 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)
Stuff gently as you go!
Rnd 8- 1 sc in each of first 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc. (14 sc)
Rnds 9 to 10- 1 sc in each sc around. (14 sc)
Rnd 11- 1 sc in each of first 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc. (16 sc)
Rnd 12- 1 sc in each sc around. (16 sc)
Rnd 13- 1 sc in each of first 7 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 7 sc, 2 sc in next sc. (18 sc)
Rnd 14- 1 sc in each sc around. (18 sc)
Rnd 15- 1 sc in each of first 8 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 8 sc, 2 sc in next sc. (20 sc)
Rnd 16- 1 sc in each sc around. (20 sc) Fasten off Flame, weave in tail.
Rnd 17- Join Tea Leaf and work 1 sc in each sc around. (20 sc)
Rnd 18- 1 sc in each of first 9 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 9 sc, 2 sc in next sc. (22 sc)
Rnd 19- 1 sc in each sc around. (22 sc)
Rnd 20- 1 sc in each of first 10 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 10 sc, 2 sc in next sc. (24 sc)
Rnds 21 to 26- 1 sc in each sc around. (24 sc)
Rnd 27- 1 sc in each of first 10 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 10 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each sc till end of rnd. (26 sc)
Rnds 28 to 30- 1 sc in each sc around. (26 sc)
Rnd 31- 1 sc in each of first 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 10 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each sc till end of rnd. (28 sc)
Rnds 32 to 34- 1 sc in each sc around. (28 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Center the Tail at Back, pin it down and sew in place. Fasten off and weave in tail securely inside of Body.

Head (Make 2, Front and Back)-
Row 1- Skip first 5 sc from Top of Body, join Aran and and with H hook, work 20 sc, ch 1, turn, leaving the last 5 sc of Top of Body unworked. (20 sc)
Row 2- 1 sc in each sc across. (20 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Rows 3 to 29- 1 sc in each sc across. (20 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 30- 1 sc in each sc across. (20 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Sew sides of Head, leaving Top open for now. Fasten off, weave in ends.


Stuff Body firmly.

Long Nose-
With Flame and H hook, ch 2.
Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in second ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. (6 sc)
Rnd 2- 2 sc in each sc aorund. (12 sc)
Rnd 3- 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around (18 sc)
Rnd 4- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (24 sc) Fasten off Flame, weave in tails at back of the disk formed.
Stuff as you go! Keep the stuffing light, we want a pliable Nose.
Rnd 5- Join Aran. Working in Back Loops this Rnd ONLY, make 1 sc in each sc around. (24 sc)
Stuff gently as you go (we don't want a Nose that is too stiff, leave it a bit pliable.)
Rnds 6 to 22- 1 sc in each sc around. (24 sc)
Rnd 23- 1 sc in each of first 3 scm 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (30 sc)
Rnds 24 to 25- 1 sc in each sc around. (30 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Center the Nose on the lower part of the "Face" and tack down with pins. Sew in place. Weave in tail on back of work.

Eyes (Make 2)-
Whites of Eyes-
With White and H hook, ch 2.
Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in second ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. (6 sc)
Rnd 2- 2 sc in each sc aorund. (12 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Pupils-
With Black and H hook, ch 2.
Rnd 1- Work 6 sc in second ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. (6 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Pin the Pupils to the "Whites of Eyes" and sew in place. Pin then to Face of Snorty and sew in place. Fasten off and weave in ends inside of Head.
Optional- With White, thread a blunt needle and make a dot of light on each Pupil. Fasten off, weave in ends.

Stuff Head and sew Top closed. Fasten off, weave in tail.

Ears (Make 2)-
With Aran and H hook, ch 2.
Rnd 1- Work 6 ac in second ch from hook, sl st to join rnd. (6 sc)
Rnd 2- 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)
Rnd 3- 1 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)
Rnd 4- 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (18 sc)
Rnd 5- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (24 sc)
Rnd 6- 1 sc in each of first 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. (30 sc)
Rnd 7 to 10- 1 sc in each ac around. (30 sc)
Rnd 11- 1 sc in each of first 2 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, [1 sc in each of next 2 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc,] rep 5 more times, 1 sc in each sc till end of rnd. (24 sc)
Rnd 12- 1 sc in each sc around. (24 sc)
Rnd 13-  sc in each of first 2 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, [1 sc in each of next 2 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc,] rep 5 more times, 1 sc in each sc till end of rnd. (18 sc)
Rnds 14 to 16- 1 sc in each sc around. (18 sc)
Rnd 17- 1 sc in first sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, rep around. (12 sc)
Rnds 18 to 20-  1 sc in each sc around. (12 sc) Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.

Sew ears in place, inserting them at the corners of the Head, for more safety if they are pulled. Fasten off, weave in ends.

Bow-
With Flame or Shocking Pink (if you decide to make her in Pink) and H hook, ch 18 0r 20 chains (depending on how long you want the Bow).
Row 1- 1 sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (17 or 19 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 2- 1 sc in each sc across. (17 or 19 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Rows 3 to 4- 1 sc in each sc across. (17 or 19 sc) Ch 1, turn.
Row 5- 1 sc in each sc across. (17 or 19 sc) Fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew with and to wrap around the center of the Bow and tack it onto Head.
Thread blunt needle and sew the two ends of the Bow, then adjust it so that the stitches fall on the Lower Center of the Bow. Then, wrap the yarn around the center of the Bow as many times as you like (minimum 10 times), and use the leftover yarn to tack the Bow to the center of the Head, fasten off and weave in whatever is left of the yarn.
