Put together the body of the cat as follows: Place right sides facing each other, wrong sides facing outward and whipstitch sides using the tails you left as you changed colors. Fasten off. Close the top as well, using Pumpkin tail. Leave only the bottom open. Set aside body and let's work onthe ears.
Ears (Make 4)- With Red, Ch 2. Row 1- Sc in 2nd ch from hk, sc in next sc and in top of turning ch. Ch 2, turn.
Row 2- Sc in 2nd ch from hk and in each sc across. Ch 2, turn. Rep Row 2 until you have completed 6 rows, counting

In the last two pieces, leave tails long enough to sew with. Place wrong sides facing and whip stitch all around, leaving the
bottom open. Stick the ear into the corner of the cat's head and sew the bottom of the ear to the crocheted fabric of the cat's
body as you can see in the photo. Fasten off.

Fasten off Red, leaving long tail to sew with. Muzzle must have 26 sc around. Fold muzzle in half width-wise, leaving the sectin that has all the sl st join rows to the back. You will find you have 12 sc across to work with. Join Hunter Green to the far edge. Row 1- Make 5 sc across, ch 1, turn. Row 2-1 sc in each of next 5 sc. Row 3- 2 sctog in 1st sc, 1 sc in next sc, 2 sctog to end row. Fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew with. Skip next two sc (in the middle) and repeat these 3 tows on the other side of the muzzle. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Mouth-With Black, ch 2, 5 sc in 2nd ch from hk, sl st to join. Fasten off, leaving a very long tail to sew with (with my first cat I left about a yard of yarn because I wanted to have enough to sew all around and to embroider the muzzle with the black line. You can leave less yarn if youlike. I just don't like to run out.) Position the mouth at the bottom of the muzzle just above the red loops at the edge of the muzzle, and sew it all around onto the muzzle, being careful not to take any of the red loops as you sew (those you will use to sew the muzzle in place.) Once you have sewn all around and themouth is in place, embroider the black line and the dots around as you see in the photos.
Nose- With Carrot, ch 2. Rnd 1- 6 sc in 2nd ch from hk, sl sti to join rnd. Rnd 2- 2 sc all around. Rnd 3- 1 sc in each of first 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep around. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with.
Measure body and position mussle centered. Pin it in place. Through one side, stuff gently. Sew all around using tails you have left. Fasten off. Place the "nose' in themiddle of the tips of the "heart" at the top of the muzzle (see photos). Stuff it gently through one side, pinning it in place so that it won't move when you sew all round it. Embroider whiskers as in photos or anyway you like.
Eyes- With Black, ch 2. Make 5 sc in 2nd ch from hk. Ch 2, turn. (DO NOT JOIN INTO A CIRCLE). 2 sc in every sc across. Fasten off, leaving long tail to sew with. Position eyes as inphotos. pin down and sew in place using blunt needle. Fasten off. With Blue, Ch 2. Make 6 sc in 2nd ch from hk. Sl st to join rnd, leaving long tail to sew with as seen in photos. Fasten off.
Tail- Take a strand of each color of yarn you used for the toy, make a loop, leaving some threads at the end to be trimmed later (tassel-like), chain a ch of 21 chains (or longer if you like. Fasten off. Sew to 13th row of Fletcher's body (counting from the bottom.)
You're done!
